LEGION RIDERS

We are the American Legion Riders, Florida, Chapter 117 of The American Legion, Charles F. Thomas IV, Post 117, 189 Veterans Drive, Palm Bay, Florida, 32909.

The American Legion Riders are not an M/C and do not practice M/C rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as its parent organization: The American Legion.

The American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion and the Legion Auxiliary who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. The American Legion Riders were formed…

  • To participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the aims and purposes of the American Legion.
  • To promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share the same interest.
  • To use our association to promote and support programs of the American Legion.

  • To support veterans, active-duty personnel and their families.
  • To promote patriotism.
  • To enhance motorcycle safety.

The preamble to our constitution is our oath:

  • For God and Country, we associate ourselves together for the following purposes: To demonstrate the principles of responsible motorcycling as set forth in the Rider’s Response: “We, your American Legion Riders, Ride for God and Country, The American Legion Family, and Allied Veterans everywhere, and always, protect those that protect us. Amen”. To serve as examples of responsible American Patriotism; to uphold and defend the Constitution of The United States of America; to serve our comrades as set forth in the Preamble to The Constitution of The American Legion.

Meeting:

The Executive Committee meetings are held:

  • 3rd Monday of the month
  • from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

The American Legion Riders meetings are held:

  •  1st Thursday of the month
  •  from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
